The American Girl stories and dolls are great. The stories are based on historical eras in our country and the dolls with their clothes and furniture are beautiful. Check right here for announcements and activities. And if you ask which is my favorite...it's Molly! I was a little girl during the 1940s and Molly embodies that period of time for me. One time at My Favorite Children's Room we displayed a collection of the dolls of one of our staff members, her Mom and her sister. It was fun to see noses of little girls pressed up to the glass of the display case. American Girl |
At this website for the National Audubon Society, you can find all kinds of information about birds. When I visited the site, I downloaded some great free screensavers and I discovered that Wyoming's state bird, the Missouri Meadow Lark, is the state bird for five other states. Isn't it great what vast information we can find with a the click of a button...or maybe two...sometimes more. National Audubon Society |
I read a book about wild horses and was pleased to find that the author listed some sites where a reader could learn more about these animals, their history and their future. While this site features Cloud, a young horse in a wild herd in the Arrowhead Mountains in Montana, it will also lead you to several other sites, including The Pryor Mountain Mustang Center of Lovell, WY.
