Baby Food Jar Garden
Age: 4 and up
These pretty little flower gardens are perfect for Mother's Day, Grandparent's Day, birthdays, or just to
celebrate springtime. Make one for your teacher, too!
Instructions
1. Roll out the play dough or clay with rolling pin.
3. Using the mouth of the jar as a cookie cutter, cut out a circle. If you use the lid as the cookie cutter you will not be able to close
your jar when the time comes.
4. Glue the play dough or clay into the lid.
5. Stick flowers into the dough or clay. If using play dough, set lids aside to dry and harden overnight.
6. Screw the lid onto the jar, carefully inserting the flowers into the jar.
7. Decorate the lid however you like. (We used a scrap of felt then tied a piece of ribbon on.)

You might need a quick idea for a children's craft--look no further.
If you need a craft not shown on this page, let me know and I'll help you find a project
.

This is my granddaughter, Christina, and she brought a very bare tree to be our centerpiece for our
Thanksgiving dinner this year. However, the tree didn't stay that way long.
Christine asked everyone to write on a leaf something they were thankful for and sign their names.
The leaves were taped to the tree and, after dinner, we had fun reading them.
We decided to save the tree for next Thanksgiving and do it again!

Fill a container with styrofoam and insert a dry stem.
Put raffia (or small rocks) around the base of the stem to hide the styrofoam.
Cut out some leaves out of construction paper--make sure they're big enough to write on.
Have plenty of pencils on hand.
Tape the filled-out leaves onto the branches.

Spiders, Spiders!
Kids love spiders and this idea can be used as a craft , a give-away or a visual aid for a
nursery rhyme like "Little Miss Muffet" or a story.
Don't think spiders have to be a Halloween item, itty bitty or black.
The bigger the better and the kids love colored bodies or legs, as you see here.
All you need is a pom pom, chenille stems and eyes.
Tie string tightly around the pom pom at the top and the spider can walk beside you.
