Steve Breen
I couldn't find any good sites for Steve Breen, however, I did find pieces of information here and there. Breen is cartoonist and
received the 1998 Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Cartooning. You may have seen his syndicated cartoon strip, "Grand Avenue" in a
newspaper.
Stick is the author's first book and he is donating a portion of the book royalties to Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief.
Nice man. I hope he has more books in him.

I'll keep looking for a good website for Breen.
Jan Brett, Illustrator
Here is one of my most favorite illustrators. The detail in her artwork is amazing. She knew when she was a child what she wanted
to do in life--draw. She travels extensively to do research in traditions, architecture, costumes as she visited the Artic Circle for her
latest book,
The Three Snow Bears.

What a great website--you'll love it

Leslie M. M. Blume
Blume wrote The Rising Star of Rusty Nail as homage to her mother who was actually a piano prodigy of a well-known European
pianist who arrived in her small town almost by accident. And, Rusty Nail, with its unique personaility and characters, is based on
her mother's small hometown where it didn't seem to matter if the one traffic light worked or not. Although, Blume always enjoys
visiting her mom's farm and family as she did to prepare for her book, she is a city girl, living in the Greenwich Village of New York
City. When the author makes a school visit, she takes along her French bulldog, Mr. Kinyatta, who is featured in her first book,
Cornelia and the Audacious Escapades of the Somerset Sisters. The author's third book, Tennyson, will soon be available.
