Author and Illustrator Spotlight

Dianne E. Gray
Dianne Gray grew up on a farm in Nebraska where she places her stories. She describes her life as very ordinary--gathering eggs,
herding cows, listeninging to American Bandstand, cruising main street, babysitting.
Holding Up the Earth began as a writing
exercise in a college class. With encouragement from the teacher, Gray turned the six pages into an award-winning book.
Barbara Greenwood
I have found another author who loves history! I plan on reading her other books. Greenwood is a native of Canada an still lives
there. Her love of books started as her father read her marvelous stories. That wonder of books expanded when she attended
storytime at her public library. By second grade, Greenwood realised that history wasn't just dates and facts but was about people.
She stared her own home library when she was a very young child.
Steven Gray, Illustrator
As a freelance illustrator, Gray has worked for MacDonald's, Pizza Hut, Disney, among others. He also works for Mapformation,
creating maps in cartoon style. He has played the drums for a group called Flying Utensils for over 20 years. He and his wife live
three blocks from the Pacific Ocean where he can take a quick deep on hot summer days.

I found two websites. Here is
Website #2.
Justin Gerard, Illustrator
I couldn't find any information about Gerard that I wanted to include here, but his official website is interesting, to say the least.
Check it out to see what I mean.
Kristiana Gregory
This author has written some very good stories (you'll see two titles I included on My Great Book List). She has also contributed
several titles to the Dear America and the Royal Diaries series. But she does not have a website. I do know she lives in Idaho with
her family.
