Author and Illustrator Spotlight -H- |
Margaret Peterson Haddix This author is one of my favorite authors. She finds story lines that are so different. I hope she has many, many more inside her. I am surprised Haddix doesn't have a great website. The one I found doesn't give much information. The second website offers fun quizes on her books and has other games, etc., but it is a commercial site. I found two websites. Here's Website #2. |
Jennifer Holm Holm has always been a reader. She liked comic books when she was a child and still does, plus graphic novels. She was the only girl in the family with four brothers so she became a tomboy. The family had an assortment of pets, one in particular was a dog who couldn't resist chasing skunks! She received a 2007 Newbery Honor award for Penny from Heaven. Holm has two good websites. Check out Website #2. |
Jim Harris, Author and Illustrator This author and illustrator is one of my most favorites. He illustrates several children's books written by other authors, including his wife, Marian, and his work absolutely make the stories. I did read that Harris and his family live in New Zealand and on a ranch in Colorado. Since I couldn't find a good website, I'm not sure where he lives or anything else, except that he is a fabulous artist and writer. |
