Author and Illustrator Spotlight

Ann Rinaldi
I lo-o-v-e Ann Rinaldi as a writer of historical novels. Her stories are great to read and I learn so many things about our country
and people. I can't think of a book of hers that I haven't liked but I do think my favorite story is
The Coffin Quilt.
James Rumford
I couldn't find much of anything on Rumford. There should be a law that authors and illustrators have to put up an informative and
fun wesite when they first publish! Rumford is a former teacher who has taught in Saudi Arabia and Rwanda. He was also a
membe of Peace Corps and served in Africa, Asia and Afghanistan. He illustrates his own books and, as an expert, he gives
demonstrations on making paper and books.

I found an e-mail address for this author (Yes, I did e-mail him about providing a website): kauhue@lava.net
J. K. Rowling
What can you say about J. K. Rowling except that it's reported that she's richer than the Queen of England! The last book of the
Harry Potter series is out and everyone has read it, I am sure.

If you haven't visited the official website, you should. There are also great websites at
Warner Bros and Scholastic Books.
