Older readers, don't think you can't read picture books any more. There's some great ones.
I love junior fiction. Usually I find a good story without all that other stuff.
Young adult fiction is scary, sometimes.
And who doesn't want to find all their facts on the Internet? I still turn to a book.
(Some new reviewed books may be found in the Holiday/Theme Book Lists)
Pictures books are for perschoolers to 4th graders.
At my favorite Children's Room Library, these books are shelved according to age interest--a great feature for parents.
Junior Fiction books are for children in the 5th grade and older.
Young Adult Fiction books are for more mature young readers.
Parents should be aware of the content of most Young Adult reading material.
Who can remember what non-fiction means? At my Library we called these books "fact books" to make it easier.
But sometimes kids would say "Fat Books"? And we'd all laugh when we explained, "No, no, not "Fat Books--Fact Books".
As you can see, we certainly made it easier.
I find that non-fiction books are often more interesting than fiction. Don't think these books are only for homework time.
This is a list of books that I've read in the past that have passed my test of time.
The list will change as I remember...
Enjoy!
Sometimes it's hard to keep track
of a wonderful series, great chapter books or just-right reading level books for you that you've found.
Hopefully, since I have lots of time now, I can do that for you.
