our young readers, but it is interesting with good
illustrations. The author is from Wyoming and married
to the Vice President under President George Bush.

What would life would be like without the letters of
the alphabet. After reading this book (which is not the
very young), I can tell you that life would not be the
same! This humorous book is written by a Pulitzer
winner and illustrated by a Caldecott Medal winner.

Hopkins, himself a poet, has compiled poetry by
other authors that focus on the ABCs. Again, this is
